About the Museum of Life and Science

The Museum of Life and Science is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with the mission to create a place of lifelong learning where people, from young child to senior citizen, embrace science as a way of knowing about themselves, their community and their world. Situated on 84-acres in Durham, NC, the Museum is one of North Carolina's top attractions featuring over 65,000 square feet of hands-on exhibits, designed to be touched and explored. Through interactive exhibits and events, the Museum provides hands-on learning opportunities for over 440,000 visitors each year; nurturing curiosity to help people of all ages understand how the world works.
