Spring Break Camps

Plan a great Spring Break full of discovery and exploration for your child! The Museum's Spring Break Camps offer a wide range of activities across our indoor/outdoor campus.
Extended hours available.

Tinker Tech AfterSchool Club

We’re teaming up with DIY.org to explore science and technology in a whole new way! This brand-new afterschool club runs for six weeks, and gives kids the chance to get their hands on the latest tech.

Programs for Brownies - Letterboxer

Letterboxing is an amazing adventure game played by people all over the world! Join us at the museum as we follow mysterious clues and investigate our environment to find a hidden letterbox. We'll make our own letterboxing tools, and learn how to find other letterboxes around North Carolina.

Bears Up Close

Join us for a tour of the Bear House to encounter these remarkable creatures closer than you've ever been before and hear stories of the individual bears at the Museum.

Dino Egg Hunt

Search for eggs, hunt for real fossils in our dig site, explore the science of dinosaurs, make dino crafts and MORE!

Butterfly House Tours

Insects are some the most beautiful and fascinating creatures on earth. Join Magic Wings Butterfly House Director, Uli Hartmond, and entomologist Leon Bradford on a backstage tour to learn more about the Museum’s awe-inspiring insect world.

Programs for Daisies - Breakfast with the Butterflies

Start off a day of self-guided discovery by having breakfast outside the Butterfly House! Spend the rest of the day on your own exploring the world of science by experimenting with different exhibits, walking through a tornado, and observing animals such as red wolves, snakes, black bears and lemurs!
